Wedding Planning Tips For Great Photos
Welcome back to the blog!
I am going to share some tips that I have learned over my years of photographing weddings that you may have NEVER thought of that will help elevate your photos and provide a smooth and seamless day for everyone involved.
let your cake shine
Cake cutting is a wonderful time-honored tradition. If you choose to have a cake at your wedding, you want it to be seen and enjoyed by everyone!
Share with your planner, venue, and cake artist that you would like to cake to be put in a place easily accessible, or at least ask if it's possible to move it more towards the center of the reception area for the cutting. Sometimes, that is not possible and that is OK! I will work with whatever space we have.
take the tags off your dress, veil, and Jewelry
This will save you, me, your planner, and possibly even bridesmaids time when I arrive if the tags are off of your items. That way, we don't need to hunt for scissors or WORSE- have something happen to the dress when the tags are coming off!
smile and look up when you are walking up and down the aisle (Bridal party too!)
We don't want images of you looking down at your feet while walking down the aisle! Look up, smile, and lock eyes with your groom waiting for you at the end. Ok and look around at all the guests for a minute too!
Make sure to have a dedicated and educated bustler
I think most people have caught on to this while getting your dress fitted, but it's always a good idea to have your MOH educated (and practiced) in bustling your dress before the reception begins!
Hopefully those tips help with a few things you may not have thought of while planning your wedding timeline!
